Nasdaq, one of the largest market operators in the United States, has announced two new additions to its leadership team, promoting Stacie Swanstrom and Bjørn Sibbern to new senior roles at the group, according to a Nasdaq statement.

In her new role at Nasdaq, Ms. Swanstrom will be appointed as the group’s Executive Vice President of the group’s Corporate Solutions. Her latest promotion caps a 24-year career with the group that has seen her hold multiple senior roles with the operator.
After starting with Nasdaq in 1992 in its Human Resources department, Ms. Swanstrom rose through the ranks to work in its Marketing , Trading and Market Services services. This consequently paved the way for roles as its Marketing Manager, Trading and Market Services, President/VP, Nasdaq Tools, Managing Director, Associate Vice President, VP, and most recent its Senior Vice President, Global Corporate Solutions, according to information made public on her Linkedin profile.
By extension, Bjørn Sibbern is being promoted as Nasdaq’s Executive Vice President of Global Information Services (GIS). For his part, he has been with Nasdaq for over twelve years, and will responsible for leading the strategic direction of GIS, whilst continuing to foster growth across Nasdaq's index and data businesses.
Previously he has worked as Nasdaq’s President of the its Copenhagen Exchange . Both individuals will be reporting directly to Adena Friedman, President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Nasdaq.
Mr. Sibbern will also be succeeding Salil Donde, who recently parted ways with Nasdaq after two years on the job – he previously led the group’s data and index business, ultimately leaving the company to pursue other opportunities outside of Nasdaq.
