Nasdaq has unveiled a series of changes to its leadership team, including multiple promotions at its Nordic and Baltic Fixed Income and Post-Trade units, according for a company statement.

Per the new shift, Nasdaq Clearing ’s acting Vice President Fredrik Ekström will be assuming a new tranche of responsibilities at Nasdaq Nordic Fixed Income and Nasdaq Clearing. He will be playing a more integral role in the fixed income space and will also be added as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Nasdaq Clearing.
In his stead, Nasdaq Clearings’ Assistant Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Julia Haglind will be taking over Mr. Ekström’s existing position. In addition, Arminta Saladziene, Nasdaq Baltic’s Head and VP, will be overseeing Nasdaq Securities Services per a transition. The aforementioned changes will be tendered with immediate effect.
According to Mr. Ekström in a recent statement on the promotion: "A big part of our success has been the tremendous team we have on the ground, and I am certain that I will be able to Leverage my experience and knowledge from Nasdaq Clearing to further strengthen our Nordic Fixed Income business."
