Exness, a foreign exchange trading provider, has added a new member to its sales team with Nicolas Shamtanis joining the brokerage as its Chief Sales Officer (CSO) this month.
This new position will see Shamtanis, who has confirmed his new position to Finance Magnates, relocate from Cyprus, where he has been based for his entire career, to the Asia Pacific region. More specifically, he will be working from the brokerage's operations in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
When Finance Magnates reached out to Shamtanis for more details, he confirmed that he joined the broker on January 2, 2018, and will soon be relocating to Kuala Lumpur, when he will officially be the CSO. At present, he is working with Exness from Limassol.
As the regulatory landscape becomes more and more confined in Europe, outside markets such as APAC are looking increasingly more appealing to brokers and professionals within the Forex industry. That's why it is not a big surprise that it has managed to steal one of easyMarket's most longest-serving senior staff members.
Nicolas Shamtanis leaves easyMarkets for Exness
Shamtanis joins Exness with more than a decade worth of experience working in the forex industry, having held positions in both sales and trading roles. In fact, he gathered this experience over the more than 11 years he was employed at easyMarkets, a CySEC -regulated forex broker.

During his career at easyMarkets, Shamtanis held various positions such as Chief Business Development Officer, Chief Client Retention Officer, and more sales-based roles. His last position at the broker was Chief Sales and Retention Officer up until December 2018.
Before commencing his career in the forex industry, Shamtanis studied at the Technische Hochschule Nürnberg Georg Simon Ohm, a university in Nuremberg, Germany from 2001 until 2006. Here he studied and graduated with a degree in International Business, which focused on Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services.
