EBS BrokerTec, ICAP’s electronic fixed income and foreign exchange (FX) business, has secured the services of Nicole Shumpert, who joins the group as its newest Head of BrokerTec Direct – Americas, according to a company statement.
Ms. Shumpert begins her new role with immediate effect, reporting to Serge Marston, Managing Director and Global Head of BrokerTec Direct. BrokerTec Direct acts as a service that helps provide relationship-based, disclosed Liquidity to the fixed income market.
Shumpert Tasked with BrokerTec Direct Rollout
In this capacity, she will be tasked with the expansion of the BrokerTec Direct service, helping develop and expand the group’s US market capabilities. Ms. Shumpert joins EBS BrokerTec from Tradeweb, having previously served as its Director and Head of US Treasuries Market Development – she steps into her new role with a lengthy background in institutional and dealer-to-client experience
According to Mr. Marston in a recent statement on the appointment: “As the fixed income market continues to evolve due to Regulation and structural change, participants will benefit from alternative sources of liquidity and execution models.”
