Nomura Taps Amanda Chen as Deputy Head of Wealth Management for Asia

  • Asian Global investment bank Nomura, has appointed Amanda Chen as its newest Deputy Head of its Wealth Management Division in Asia, part of an ongoing initiative to help develop growth in Japan.

Asian Global investment bank Nomura, has appointed Amanda Chen as its newest Deputy Head of its Wealth Management Division in Asia, as part of an ongoing initiative to help develop growth in Japan.

The move follows after a June announcement from Nomura that launched a new Wealth Management business division bridging Asia and Japan. Ms. Chen will focus on developing synergy between Japanese clients along with the rest of Nomura’s Asian clientele.

Prior to Nomura, Ms. Chen worked in a variety of senior level roles including the Head of Strategic Transaction Group at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management, as well as Lehman Brothers.

According to Nobuhiro Sano, Co-Head of Wealth Management AEJ, in a recent statement on the appointment, “Amanda is the ideal person for this position. With her extensive experience and proven leadership skills, we are confident that Amanda will successfully help me lead the Singapore team, work with other divisions and further enhance Nomura’s Wealth Management business in the region.”
