Nomura’s US Equities Arm Instinet Taps Greg Treacy to Head Electronic Sales

Instinet LLC, the US equity Execution services arm of the global financial juggernaut, Nomura Group, has announced its latest senior appointment today, adding Greg Treacy as its newest Head of International Electronic Sales with immediate effect, according to a recent Nomura Holdings statement.

In his new role, Mr. Treacy will be tasked with culturing and developing the US brokerage’s growth, namely with regard to the firm's delivery of algorithmic and electronic trading capabilities and services to US clients trading globally.

He steps into the new position having previously garnered a successful stint with Deustche Bank, where he was a Director for its Global Execution Services business. During this tenure, Greg was responsible for electronic trading and relationship management for US clients trading internationally.

Furthermore, he also had stops at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Neonet, Inc across its sales, trading, and account management operations, with additional emphasis on sales and electronic trading.

Commenting on his appointment, Mark Govoni, President of Instinet, LLC. said: "We are very pleased to welcome Greg to Instinet. He brings over eighteen years of trading, sales and global markets expertise, which will serve to add value and insights to the work he'll be doing with our clients who trade internationally.
