The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), an integral cog in the Intercontinental Exchange (NYSE:ICE) global network of exchanges, has appointed Stacey Cunningham as its newest Chief Operating Officer (COO), according to a NYSE statement.
In her new role as COO, she will be reporting to NYSE Group President Tom Farley, where she will help oversee a number of NYSE Group units, with a penchant on a customer-led approach to strategy and development. These include:
- Cash equities markets
- MKT and NYSE Arca
- Relationship Management
- Product Management
- NYSE Governance Services
Ms. Cunningham has been a mainstay at the NYSE, having served as its President of Governance Services as well as its Head of Sales and Relationship Management for NYSE Group.
According to Mr. Farley in a recent statement on the appointment, “With ongoing changes to the U.S. equities market, Stacey’s appointment adds to the strength of the New York Stock Exchange’s leadership team and intensifies our focus on our customers.”
“The NYSE today is rapidly evolving as a customer and technology-driven financial services leader. Stacey will contribute to our work on enhancing and simplifying our equities platforms, advocating for listed companies and our trading customers in market structure discussions, and innovating to deliver more value to the global capital markets,” he added.
