Anthony Griffin, who used to hold the position of CEO of Saxo Capital Markets’ branch in Sydney, was named Oanda Australia Managing Director on June 1, 2017, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Mr. Griffin had been with Saxo Group from July 2011, when he became a business consultant at Saxo Capital Markets Asia Pacific in Singapore. He held the position for about five months until November of that same year.

Mr. Griffin then became the Chief Executive Officer of Saxo Capital Markets Pty Ltd. in Sydney, Australia in December 2011. He filled this role for about four years and four months until March 2016.

Before joining Saxo Group, Mr. Griffin had been the Head of General Broking APAC, Singapore at MF Global between February and March 2011. Mr. Griffin filled different management roles in the nine years he worked at this firm.

Other than his involvement in the financial services industry, Mr. Griffin is a member of the board of directors for Cycling Australia. The Sydney-based organization is the national administrative body for the sport of cycling in Australia. It is recognized by the Australian government, the Australian Olympic Committee, the International Cycling Union (UCI), the Paralympic Committee, and the Australian Commonwealth Games Federation.
