OANDA, a provider of multi-asset trading services, has appointed Warren Faleiro as the company’s new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). He will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of OANDA's products and services.
The Toronto-based firm said Warren will also be tasked with enhancing its global technology strategy while providing technical leadership across all areas of the business.
Prior to OANDA, Faleiro held a multitude of senior-level positions at multiple companies and industries, dating back to 1998. These include a stint at Lightsurf Technologies as its Director of Engineering, as well as other positions at Nortel Networks, Tollbridge Technologies, Verisign, and BilltoMobile, according to information made public on his LinkedIn profile.
Most recently, Faleiro served as CTO at FreshBooks, a Canadian-based accounting software provider, with a focus on business and information technology strategy.
OANDA is a multi-regulated broker with offices in Toronto, Europe, and the Asia Pacific region. The company operates an FX Trading Platform utilized by a mix of retail and institutional investors. It also provides currency information services to individuals, large corporations and portfolio managers.
