OANDA has a void to fill in its Canadian operations following the departure of senior executive Trevor Young, who parted ways with the broker after working in several key roles over the past few years, Finance Magnates has learned.

Mr. Young originally joined OANDA back in 2011 as its Mobile Product Manager. In this capacity, he helped manage the group’s product portfolio. The next five years saw him work as both OANDA’s Senior Director, Product Management as well as his most recent role as its Vice President, Product Management.
During his tenure with OANDA, Mr. Young focused on the broker’s trading platforms and technology, as well as leading teams of product managers that were tasked with a variety of functions.
Despite parting ways with OANDA, Mr. Young has since landed at Shared Inc as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Head of Product, according to information made public on his Linkedin profile. Prior to joining OANDA, he also held senior roles at multiple venues in the financial services realm, dating back to 1995.
OANDA made headlines earlier this month by ways of its personnel, after adding Kazuaki Takabatake as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Asia-Pacific (APAC), based out of Singapore. Mr. Takabatake joined the broker as its Managing Director, having brought nearly 25 years of expertise across financial services including the fintech space.
