PGIM Fixed Income, the investment management unit of New Jersey-based Prudential Financial, has announced a new senior appointment to its team, with Damla Tuncel joining as Fixed Income Portfolio Manager.
Ms. Tuncel joins the global asset manager from Barclays Investment Bank, having been a part of the group for the past five years, most latterly working as an EGB trader. During her tenure at the investment banking division of the British lender she also served at the CEEMEA Rates Trading division.
Prior to joining Barclays in 2012, Ms. Tuncel worked at Credit Agricole CIB as an analyst and business associate with a multitude of responsibilities across the operations of rate derivatives coverage to corporations and Turkish financial institutions.
Damla’s career also includes other stops at several financial institutions including JP Morgan & Chase Co.
Effective January 2017, Prudential Fixed Income, which was operating under two names globally, its brands under a single name—PGIM Fixed Income. The global asset manager was already operating as PGIM Fixed Income in markets outside of the United States and Japan.
PGIM offers a portfolio of various solutions across all fixed income markets. The company manages assets for institutional clients and retail investors worldwide with nearly $700 billion in assets under management.
