Hannes Graah, president of growth at digital bank Revolut, is set to leave the firm, according to market sources.

Graah is responsible for driving the company’s growth, leading more than 100 people in Revolut’s distributed markets organisation and its central performance, Marketing , brand, product and data science teams focused on growth.

Graah had joined Revolut one year ago from Spotify, where he spent eight years in several roles years, including global head of new markets.

He worked with the music, advertising and tech industries to provide music listening opportunities for people in countries, where Spotify is not yet launched.

Graah was also a managing director for Japan and a business operations director at the firm, working with the CEO and COO on assorted projects.

Prior to joining Spotify, Graah was global chapter chair at H2 in Tokyo, a leadership network for the technology industry.

He also worked as an associate brand manager at Procter&Gamble in Geneva.

Earlier in his career, Graah co-founded several firms, including Psynapsys in Swerden, where he developed websites with CMS and assorted software solutions for small to mid-sized companies.

Covid-19 related pressure

Revolut has seen a series of departures over the few months as an aggressive profitability push.

The firm has lost eight senior executives since March this year. The departures were all in the bank’s “People Operations” department.

Due to the Coronavirus crisis, the digital bank’s staff is under increasing pressure to meet targets, according to people familiar with the matter.
