Trading Technologies International, Inc., a Chicago-based global provider of institutional trading software, announced today that Rick Lane, who has served as Chief Technology Officer since March 2012, has been named CEO effective immediately.
Harris Brumfield, the majority owner and CEO for the past 11 years, will remain with the company as Chairman of the Board, according to the announcement.
Mr. Lane first joined the firm in June 2010 when TT acquired the company he co-founded, TickIt Trading Systems. After leaving for Google in 2011, he returned to TT in March 2012 as CTO. At TickIt, Lane was the architect of Algo Design Lab, a visual programming platform. Lane graduated with a Bachelor of Science in computer science from Georgia Tech in 2003.

Adding, “As we prepare to celebrate our 20th anniversary in May, I believe Rick is the right person to lead us to the next level.”
