Swissquote, a leading Switzerland-based online Trading Platform , has promoted Romain Le Baud to Marketing Director after spending almost two years as Head of Marketing in the company. Le Baud started working at the firm in October 2015 as Forex Brand Manager, where he developed the Forex business of Swiss quote until July 2017, when he took the reins as Head of Brand & Digital.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Le Baud has been in the marketing industry for over ten years in several niches. He first started as a Marketing Trainee in INES CRM to then spend some time in Vipventa S.L. and Rodier. In 2010, the new Swissquote Marketing Director joined luxury goods and jewellery company, Swatch as E-Commerce Manager in France. He was promoted to Global E-Commerce Project Lead after two years in the role.
Le Baud earned an Associate degree in Computer Sciences from the Université de Nates, a Bachelor's degree in Business & Digital from IAE Savoie Mont Blanc, and a Master's degree in Entrepreneurship & Innovation management from IEMN-IAE. As of press time, there is no official comment nor statement from both Le Baud and Swissquote regarding the promotion to Marketing Director.
Recent Revenues Results
Finance Magnates recently reported that the broker saw a substantial jump in net revenues in H1 of 2021, which reached CHF 264.4 million in H1 of 2021, which is 64.5% higher than the same period in 2020. For the full year 2021, the financial services provider is now targeting net revenues of CHF 465 million. In terms of pre-tax profit, the number touched CHF 134.6 million in the first six months of 2021, which is 130% higher than H1 of 2020. The broker is now expecting a pre-tax profit of CHF 210 million for the full year of 2021.
Swissquote highlighted the recent expansion of crypto-related offerings and mentioned that the company now has approximately CHF 1.9 billion worth of crypto assets under custody.
