Saxo Bank has once again added to its executive team, culminating in the appointment of Philip Wegloop as its newest Chief Experience Officer (CXO), according to a Saxo Bank statement.
The newly created role of CXO, manned by Mr. Wegloop, is slated to take effect on October 1, 2015. In this capacity, Mr. Wegloop will be assuming the mantle of responsibility for Saxo Bank’s global user experience, which includes such operations as marketing, digital, PR and external communications, and competitive intelligence.
The announcement of Mr. Wegloop’s addition comes just one day after Saxo Bank revealed that it had secured the services of Søren Kyhl as its Chief Operating Officer (COO) and member of the Management Board. He will be managing a number of the bank’s integral functions, including its digital experience, marketing, and data science.
Mr. Wegloop joins Saxo Bank with an extensive background in marketing and client experience. He most recently worked as the Global Consumer Marketing Director and Global Head of Digital Marketing & CRM at Bang & Olufsen, dating back to 2013, according to information made public on his LinkedIn profile. Additional roles also include Nordea, where he served as its Senior Vice President (SVP) and Head of Customer Insight & Market Intelligence.
Saxo Bank is a Danish-based Multi-Asset trading venue, specializing in a number of instruments including foreign Exchange (FX), contracts-for-difference (CFDs), futures, stocks and options. The company has made a concerted effort to change the way it relates to clients in 2015, including the discontinuation of its MT4 offering, as well as the launch of its SaxoTrader Go utility earlier this year.
