On the heels of recent operational outages, the SGX Board of Directors has established a committee, independent of management, to ascertain vulnerabilities facing the data infrastructure.

The news follows after the November 5, 2014 breakdown and technical difficulties facing the SGX. As a result, the Board of Directors has launched a committee including four individuals to conduct an independent investigation.

The committee will include, Quah Wee Ghee, who will chair the Committee, along with Chew Choon Seng, Kevin Kwok and Lee Hsien Yang. Mr. Quah Wee Ghee is the current acting Chairman of SGX’s Risk Management Committee.

In addition, the committee will dispatch specialists to help aid the investigation and prevent future occurrence. More information is expected to be released from the SGX later this week, detailing the depth and composition of the investigation.
