ESMA Names Dr Theocharides as Chairman of the Economic and Markets Analysis Committee
ESMA announced that it has appointed Dr George Theocharides as its new Chairman of the
Economic and Markets Analysis Committee.
Dr Theocharides has been associated with the Cypriot regulator for a couple of years. Before his appointment as the CySEC Chair in September 2021, he held the post of Vice-Chairman with the regulator from July 2020 and also served with it as a non-Executive Board member before that.
He has a strong financial background with a long academic career.
