SmartStream Technologies, a transaction lifecycle management provider, has made another key move this month, this time appointing Ben Pielow as its newest Sales Director for the UK and Ireland with immediate effect, according to a SmartStream statement.

In his new role as SmartStream’s Sales Director – UK and Ireland, Mr. Pielow will help focus on the group’s TLM and reference data utility (RDU) suite, which caters to a wide range of clients across both countries. He will be based out of the group’s London office, where he will report directly to Claudia Thurner, SmartStream’s Head of Sales – Europe.

Mr. Pielow lands at SmartStream from Duco, having worked as its Business Development Manager. In addition, he has held other roles at financial technology groups, including Think Investment Solutions (TIS), among others.

According to Ms. Thurner in a recent statement on the appointment: “We are pleased to have Ben working with us to meet growing customers’ needs in the region. His knowledge and familiarity with the industry, combined with his enthusiasm and determination, is a winning strategy for our business.”

“Working with an established company like SmartStream, with a great reputation and exceptional products is the perfect position to be in. It is exciting to be at an organisation that has invested so much in R&D over the years – this positions us well not only in the UK and Ireland, but globally,” added Mr. Pielow, in an accompanying statement.

Earlier this month, SmartStream appointed Naren Patel as its head of its Strategic Account Management for its London-based Corona Business Unit (CBU). Mr. Patel has since been tasked with all channels of the group’s business development and strategic account management across Europe.
