SmartStream Taps Naren Patel to Spearhead its European Sales Team

SmartStream Technologies, a Transaction Lifecycle Management (TLM) specialist, today appointed Naren Patel as the newest head of its Strategic Account Management for its London-based Corona Business Unit (CBU), according to a SmartStream statement.

SmartStream's CBU software is designed to help streamline matching rules and procedures, supporting the Automation of manual end-of-day processing to more effective forecasting based on real cash positions. Mr. Patel joins SmartStream with immediate effect and in his new role will be tasked with all channels of the group’s business development and strategic account management across the United Kingdom, Ireland, Scandinavia, Belgium, Netherlands, and Israel. He will be reporting directly to Marcus von Rahden, SmartStream’s Head of Sales Europe, Corona Business Unit.

Veteran Appointment

He steps into his new role at SmartStream following a lengthy career in the financial technology sector that has spanned over two decades. He has held several senior level roles at such venues as Markit, Broadridge, Fiserv, and SWIFT.

According to Christian Schiebl, Executive Vice President (EVP) of SmartStream and Head of Corona Business Unit, in a recent statement on the appointment: “Naren brings valuable expertise to the team and will be invaluable as we continue to grow and expand the Corona business. His broad range of skills and in-depth knowledge will help us get to that next level with our clients, further solidifying our customer-centric approach.”

“This is a great opportunity to join an established business with a strong, competitive, regional advantage. I look forward to combining my skills with the Corona proactive approach from the outset. I think we’re going to see great results from the very start,” noted Mr. Patel in an accompanying statement.
