Abu Dhabi-based financial services provider, ADSS announced today that the company has appointed Sophia Salim, a former Software Engineer at Microsoft, as the Chief Product & Innovation Officer.
In the past 12 months, the company announced several key senior-level appointments to enhance its retail and institutional securities brokerage. In her extensive professional career of nearly 17 years, Sophia worked with Microsoft and Bykea.
During her time at Microsoft, the newly appointed Chief Product and Innovation Officer served as a Software Engineer. Additionally, she co-founded Ropazi, a San Francisco-based commerce platform start-up that was supported by StartX, an accelerator for Stanford-affiliated entrepreneurs.

According to ADSS, the latest appointment of Sophia is an integral part of the company’s strategy for the expansion of its executive team. The financial services provider highlighted that women now represent over 30% of the senior leadership team of ADSS. Founded in 2010, ADSS expanded its product offering and services substantially in the past few years. The company is planning to facilitate its growth in the securities brokerage business in London and the Middle East.
