Finance Magnates has learned that Andy Ross became the new Global Head Prime Brokerage at Standard Chartered Bank. According to his LinkedIn profile, he joined the firm after working for over one year at the London Stock Exchange Group in the Capital Markets management team.
“Loved my time with LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) and the superb management team but couldn’t be more excited to join and build on the great work already done in Prime at Standard Chartered Bank,” he commented.
CurveGlobal Limited employed Ross as the CEO between 2016 and 2022. He is a financial markets veteran who worked for over 16 years at Morgan Stanley since 2007, first as an Executive Director, and then he was promoted to Managing Director and European Head of OTC Clearing .
According to his educational background, he earned a bachelor’s degree in ecology and economics from the University of Edinburgh.
Raymond Cheng Is the New Chief Investment Officer of North Asia
Standard Chartered recently announced that it had appointed Raymond Cheng as the new Chief Investment Officer of North Asia. Cheng, an executive veteran with more than 25 years of experience in the financial industry, has been named by Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) as the new Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of North Asia.
Cheng will be based in Hong Kong and be responsible for the coverage and capabilities of the CIO office for the North Asian region. Additionally, he will represent the views of the bank to its affluent clients.
According to her educational background, Cheng has a diploma in Corporate Finance and Financial Accounting from the University of Regensburg in Germany. Moreover, she has studied Business Administration and Management at the University of South Wales.
