Bringing 30 Years of Experience to StoneX Digital
The appointment of Ardizzone is strategic as he comes with around thirty years of financial services industry experience. He joined StoneX Digital from ATOMYZE, where he was the Chief Commercial Officer for about a couple of years. Before that, he was the Global Head of OTC FX and Metals Sales at R.J. O'Brien & Associates for about five years.
As seen on his Linkedin profile, Ardizzone started his career in 1993 as a foreign exchange trader and later joined Schroders as an Assistant Fund Manager. In his three-decades-long career, he worked for Prudential Financial as the Global Head of FX Sales, Jefferies as the Global Head of FX Sales, and Nomura as the Executive Director.
Commenting on the appointment, Mulcahy said: "Matthew brings strong institutional markets expertise to StoneX with a record of delivering growth and value for clients. This is another step towards StoneX becoming a leading solutions provider in digital assets and complements the growth of numerous established StoneX businesses."
Moreover, the larger StoneX strengthened its team through hiring and various promotions. Earlier this month, it added Edward Phelps, from SWIFT, as the Head of Sales Strategy. Also, it promoted Rana Khatlan to Marketing and Events Manager for EMEA and Adam Dance to Product Director.
Meanwhile, the US National Futures Association recently fined StoneX Markets, one of the subsidiaries of StoneX Group, $1 million for multiple compliance violation charges. furthermore, the company agreed to a settlement by paying the monetary penalty.
