Sucden Financial Limited has strengthened its floor trading team, bringing back veteran Chris Adams, who will rejoin the company and help Sucden’s London Metal Exchange (LME) Ring Dealing Team, according to a Sucden Financial statement.
Mr. Adams has returned to Sucden Financial, having previously served as a vital component in its business, helping drive the growth of its LME floor trading team back in 1994. He joins Sucden Financial from Levmet, who following the appointment will act as an agent for Sucden.
In his new role on Sucden’s LME floor trading team, Mr. Adams will be based out of London. His appointment will not change the unit’s current leadership structure, which presently sees Geoff Ison and Danny Messinger as its managers. Mr. Adams will be joining the unit later this month.
Michael Overlander, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Sucden Financial, confirmed the appointment: “We are delighted to have secured the services of Chris Adams, who undoubtedly has always demonstrated his unique understanding of the workings of the LME and who is one of the market’s most accomplished base metal traders. The appointment underlines our commitment to the future of the exchange and the Ring.”
“We are pleased for Chris and respect his decision to return to London for personal reasons. Given his desire I believe this can only be seen as a positive move for him, our good friends at Sucden Financial and the exchange at large,” added Ashley Levett, CEO at Levmet in an accompanying statement.
