SWIFT Adds Marc Hofmann as New Chief Information Security Officer

SWIFT, a global provider of secure financial messaging services, today announced the appointment of Marc Hofmann as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), reinforcing SWIFT’s IT function and solid security record.

Hofmann joins SWIFT from Deutsche Bank where over the past 8 years he held various CISO roles, most recently as Regional Chief Information Security Officer for the UK and Ireland.

At Deutsche Bank, Hofmann oversaw a global IT security team, played a leading role in designing the bank’s information security setup, was Vice Chairman of the Group Information Security Committee and built an effective working relationship with regulators.

Hofmann’s tenure will commence on 1 November when he will be tasked with leading the Global Security team. Hofmann will report to Chief Technology Officer Craig Young and he will work closely with Alain Desausoi who will serve as Deputy Chief Information Security Officer in the new organisation.
