Swissquote Names Stephane Marie as Head of eFX Trading

Swissquote, a Swiss banking group that provides online financial and trading services, announced this Monday that it has a new Head of the eForex Trading & Market Strategy Department - Stephane Marie.

Marie has been with the Switzerland firm since November of 2010. His promotion, which also sees him become a member of the Senior Management of Swissquote, is effective since the 1st of June 2019.

He also acted as deputy to Ryan Nettles, the previous Head of FX Trading & Market Strategy at Swissquote, who stepped down from his position last month to pursue a new project after ten years with the Swiss multi-asset brokerage, as Finance Magnates reported.

Stephane Marie’s Career Before Swissquote

Before he was at Swissquote, Marie was the Head of Dealing Desk at ACM, Advanced Currency Markets SA. Here he worked for slightly over eight years from September of 2002 until October of 2010.

During his career in the FX industry, which spans for more than two decades, Marie has held a number of roles. In 1997 he commenced his career at Privilege SA where he was a junior forex trader, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Commenting on the appointment, Marc Bürki, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Swissquote said: "Stephan has spent 23 years in the industry of which the last 10 at Swissquote helping us to shape our business and grow it."

Marie has also held the role of Senior FX Trader at CCG, Capital Currency Group SA, where he worked for two years and Alternative Product Specialist (Hedge Funds) at Delman SA, his LinkedIn states.
