TNS Appoints George Zirkel and John Tait in Senior Payments Roles

Transaction Network Services (TNS), a provider of data communications and solutions for the Payments and financial markets industries, has fortified its payments business with two new hires, adding George Zirkel and John Tait with immediate effect, according to a TNS statement.

Both George Zirkel and John Tait land at TNS with plans to kindle additional growth plans at the group, ranging from the US to Australia. Mr. Zirkel joins TNS as its Senior Vice President and Head of Global Payments Strategy, based out of the US. In this capacity, Mr. Zirkel will be tasked with overseeing the strategic direction of the group’s Payments Division, whereby assisting in its global product and sales development.

Conversely, Mr. Tait will be appointed as the Managing Director of TNS’ Payments Division for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) ) region and will be based out of TNS’ office in Sydney, Australia. Mr. Tait will be playing an integral role in TNS’ payments business across the APAC region, which includes areas of operation in Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, and Australia, among others.

According to Lisa Shipley, Executive Vice President (VP) and Managing Director of TNS Payment Network Solutions, in a recent statement on the appointments, “I’m excited that George and John have joined our growing business.
