Jacob Frenkel

CME Group on Monday drafted Jacob Frenkel, Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the G-30, Chairman of the Board of Governors of Tel Aviv University and Chairman of JPMorgan Chase International, to its Competitive Markets Advisory Council (CMAC). CMAC’s current members include: John P. Gould, Lars Peter Hansen, Andrew Lo, Robert C. Merton, Michael H. Moskow, Myron Scholes and Robert J. Shiller.

Kseniya Zubkova, Swissquote

Swissquote last week elevated Kseniya Zubkova to the position Head of Institutional Foreign Exchange Sales. Ms. Zubkova originally joined MIG Bank (now Swissquote) back in 2007 as its Client Relations Manager. Since then she has held a number of senior roles at the group, including stints as its Senior Business Development Executive and Deputy Regional Director.

Philippos Psyllos, Vipro Markets

Vipro Markets appointed Philippos Psyllos as the company’s new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). As the former CTO of JFD Brokers, Mr. Psyllos will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of Vipro’s products and services. Previously, he held a variety of senior positions including roles in product management and software with a focus on Forex systems.

Michael Stewart and Michael Di Felice, BTIG

BTIG again added to its growing Fixed Income unit in New York, this time securing Michael Stewart and Michael Di Felice. In his new role at BTIG, Mr. Stewart will serve as a Managing Director within the Fixed Income Credit Group. Mr. Di Felice lands at BTIG as a Director within the Fixed Income Credit Group.

Gabriela Liber, TradAir

TradAir on-boarded Gabriela Liber as its newest Director of Liquidity Management. Ms. Liber will be based out of the group’s London office. She steps into her new role with immediate effect, having helped manage all aspects of liquidity optimization during her career – this includes similar roles elsewhere around the industry, with the majority of her time being dedicated to eFX sales for major European banks.

Goldstone Global last week tapped Michael Markarian as its newest Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Markarian will step into his new senior role at the Sydney-based group with immediate effect – the appointment is the first marquee move at the group in 2017. He joins Goldstone Global from Core Liquidity Markets PTY, having worked previously as its Managing Partner for over three years.

HSBC added foreign exchange (FX) specialist Brent Donnelly, who joins the lender from Citi, to become an FX spot trader in the latest move for the group. In his new role Mr. Donnelly will be reporting to Peter Little, its Head of G10 Trading. He has been at Citi for over three years, working as its Chief Dealer and G10 FX trader since 2014.

Per Andersson, Baymarkets Technology

Baymarkets Technology AB (Baymarkets), last week announced its latest senior appointment, securing Per Andersson as its newest Head of Sales and Business Development. Mr. Andersson will join the group’s management team with immediate effect. He lands at Baymarkets from Pantor Engineering, part of a career spanning over two decades in the fintech sector.

BTIG added to its growing operations for the second time last week, appointing Filip Skala and John Curley. Both Skala and Curley will be based out of BTIG’s New York office.
