Vantage FX appointed Jacob Beli to the post of head of compliance last week – he joined Vantage FX from his previous position as general manager at Rakuten Securities Australia and is responsible for reviewing, planning and directing the broker’s compliance and regulatory requirements in line with its commitment to ensuring adherence to ASIC controls.
Elad Rosenblum, Colmex Israel
Elad Rosenblum stepped down as the VP of Sales at Colmex Israel last Monday, following just 10 months in the role. Mr. Rosenblum joined Colmex almost three years ago as a Retention Account Manager. Two years later he was promoted to Chief Sales Manager. He held this role for two and a half years before stepping into the role of VP Sales in October 2016.

Robert Smolen, Citigroup
Citigroup shook up its equity derivatives unit, onboarding JP Morgan’s Robert Smolen to head its exotic equity derivatives trading for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Mr. Smolen’s arrival at Citi looks like particularly good news for equity derivatives traders as the bank shuffles management in its Equities unit. The bank’s global hybrids trading team will report to Smolen to bring the hybrids and exotics trading teams closer together.

Jason Dubinsky, Morningstar
Morningstar, Inc. continues its investment in new executive talent with the hiring of Jason Dubinsky as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective July 24, 2017. In his new role Mr. Dubinsky will be responsible for ensuring that the finances of the investment research provider enable the company to continue to drive growth, capitalizing on the growing worldwide demand for its solutions.

Michael Onofrio, ITG
ITG has tapped industry veteran Michael Onofrio as director of the United States Electronic Coverage team in New York. Mr. Onofrio’s most recent role was Executive Director of JP Morgan’s European Equities Electronic Coverage team in EMEA, based in London, England. Mr. Onofrio has over a decade of experience in the financial industry, most of which were dedicated to JP Morgan.
Leandra McPhillips, CMC Markets
Last week, CMC Markets’ longtime marketing specialist Leandra McPhillips parted ways with the group. Her departure from the FX, CFDs and spread-betting provider marks the end of a nearly decade-long stint that saw her elevated to Group Head of Marketing in 2012. For the entirety of her tenure with the firm, Ms. McPhillips was based out of London, having originally joined the group back in 2008 as a Client Retention Manager from Saxo Bank.
Amit Raja, Citigroup
Citigroup promoted Amit Raja as its Head of EMEA credit markets trading. He will continue to hold his current responsibilities as head of European leveraged trading. In his new role, he will be charged with responsibility for all credit trading businesses in the region, a role most recently held by David Cohen, who recently retired after six years with the bank.

Melissa Mazeres, AJF Financial Services
Limassol-based AJF Financial Services has promoted one of its own, tapping Melissa Mazeres as its newest Chief Operations Officer. Her ascension comes after just two years with the group. Her new role will see her with an expanded mandate and responsibilities. She takes on her new responsibilities with immediate effect.
