Monday, July 10

Christopher Anthony Mathias, CFH Clearing

Christopher Anthony Mathias has departed from prime of prime liquidity provider CFH Clearing, which was purchased by Playtech recently. Mr. Mathias is a well-known entrepreneur who has established and co-invested in over thirty firms directly or through his two venture capital companies, CMG Partner. He served as a chairman and partner of CFH Group, and as a non-executive director at its subsidiary CFH Clearing. Before that. Mr. Mathias was CEO of Harpur Group.

Mr. Mathias also serves on several boards, including the Barclays Private Wealth Management advisory board.

Marco Baggioli, ADS Securities

Marco Baggioli

Marco Baggioli, an industry veteran, has been appointed as ADS Securities Group's Chief Operating Officer. Two years ago, Mr. Baggioli held a similar position at the Abu Dhabi headquartered broker’s ADS London. His former role was ADS Securities’ Executive Managing Director and Global Head of Brokerage. Now he will assume further responsibilities in the operations, products, legal and compliance, marketing, human resources, and IT.

Thomas Severance, Axioma

Axioma, a Risk Management service provider, has appointed Thomas Severance as its new Senior Managing Director and Chief Revenue Officer. The company has seen a number of new team members during 2017, aiming to make its mark on global market sales. Mr. Severance is an industry veteran with twenty years of experience under his belt. His most recent role was a managing director at IHS Markit.

According to his LinkedIn profile, other former positions include but are not limited to Director of Latin America at Misys, Vice President of Global Sales at QuIC Financial technologies, Managing Director at Algorithmics, and Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Armanta Inc.

Ray Sherry, Matteo Bocchi Bianchi, and Sante Zampini, Tradestream

The cloud-based fintech provider Tradestream hired Matteo Bocchi Bianchi, Ray Sherry, and Sante Zampini as new Senior executives. Matteo Bocchi Bianchi will serve as the Chief Knowledge Officer and Head of New Partnerships. Mr. Bianchi has 12 years of experience in corporate banking and strategy space, having served as a financial engineer.

Ray Sherry will hold the position of Chief Technology Officer, joining the company with 30 years of experience in technology, the financial sector, as well as in other sectors. Mr. Sherry has held a number of senior roles in the banking field over the years.

Sante Zampini will be joining Tradestream as Head of Agent Relations. Mr. Zampini also has 30 years of experience in the corporate banking space in American and Italian financial institutions.

Kem Chong, Tradeview Markets

Tradeview Markets, a multi-asset brokerage, has hired Kem Chong as its newest Head of Asia. This executive move joins others under the company’s strategy to expand its business in the Asia-Pacific region in 2017. Mr. Chong will be of assistance in China, which has been marked as the company’s main target.

Among his former roles, Mr. Chong served as the Director of the Asian Division at Peregrine Financial Group for about seven years. He was also a consultant at Avatrade.

Masahiro Funada, GMO-Z.com

GMO-Z.com United Kingdom Limited, GMO CLICK Group’s British retail forex subsidiary, has tapped Masahiro Funada as its newest Director. In his new role, Mr. Funada will be serving the United Kingdom-based company out of Hong Kong. Mr. Funada has been with the company for nearly four years, serving in various roles at GMO CLICK’s subsidiaries. His former role was General Manager at GMO CLICK Holdings Inc.

Paul Busby, NEX Optimization

NEX Optimization has added Paul Busby as its new Global Head of Sales at ENSO, its financial analytics unit. It serves as one of NEX Group’s key treasury and portfolio finance solutions for the hedge fund industry. Mr. Busby’s hiring will enhance the treasury management’s growth on the buy-side. He has stepped into his role effective immediately, based out of New York.

Antonia Rowan, Credit Suisse

Credit Suisse, a Swiss banking services provider, has on-boarded Antonia Rowan as the Senior Managing Director of its United Kingdom Advisory and Corporate Broking. Though the firm has parted from a significant number of its UK arm’s employees, Credit Suisse continues to make executive hires in key business segments in 2017. Ms. Rowan joins the firm at a critical stage before Brexit comes into force.

Her most recent role was at Jefferies corporate broking division, where she worked for about five years from 2012. Prior to that, she worked at Hoare Govett corporate brokerage for thirteen years.

Harvesh Kumar Seegolam, FSC Mauritius

The Financial Services Commission (FSC) in Mauritius, the island-nation's regulatory authority, has tapped Harvesh Kumar Seegolam as its new Chief Executive. Mr. Seegolam joined the financial watchdog with immediate effect. His former role had been as Senior Investment Advisor at the Board of Investment, where he oversaw the delivery of a high profile reform in financial service oriented regulation.

Mr. Seegolam had also served as the CEO of the Financial Services Promotion Agency (FSPA), and as a Director at the Innovation, Technology & Services cluster at the Board of Investment (BOI), the Investment Promotion Agency of Mauritius.
