Trading Technologies, a provider of solutions and software for proprietary traders, brokers, and hedge funds, has secured the services of Michael Kraines as its newest Chief Financial Officer, per a company statement.

In his new role Mr. Kraines will be tasked with the group’s finance, planning, strategy, and business development. He steps into the role following a lengthy career in the financial technology space, having worked for nearly three decades in this realm.
Prior to joining Trading Technologies, Mr. Kraines worked at investment banking firm Sandler O’Neill + Partners for over twelve years. There he served as a managing director, having helped spearhead the group’s financial technology effort.
Additional roles also include positions at Wasserstein Perella and Kirkland & Ellis LLP, dating back to 1988, according to information made public on his Linkedin profile.
According to Rick Lane, Chief Executive Officer of Trading Technologies, in a statement on the hire: “Michael has served as a trusted advisor to TT for several years now, and we are thrilled to have him join TT’s leadership team. His more than 25 years of deep industry expertise and his breadth of market structure knowledge will prove instrumental as we continue to improve our competitive positioning and actively expand into new markets.”
