Trading Technologies International Inc. (TT), a broker-neutral provider of performance trading software for multiple asset classes, has promoted Robbie McDonnell to EVP Global Sales, according to a Trading Technologies statement.
The US-based platform developer has recently unveiled plans for its Nextrader platform, which is expected to overtake the firm’s X_TRADER platform solution. TT’s technologies and software are designed for clients that include proprietary traders, brokers, money managers, CTAs, hedge funds and risk managers.
Longtime Trading Technologies Veteran Eyes Future Brand Development
Mr. McDonnell has worked for TT for 16 years and served in a variety of locales for the firm including Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and the UK. His tenure has been instrumental to TT’s trading success and leaps within the financial industry.
According to Rick Lane, CEO of Trading Technologies, in a recent statement on the promotion, “Robbie's unique perspective and leadership will benefit our customers as they navigate the increasingly complex challenges of trading derivatives on a global scale. He has had a big hand in helping customers in every major region and will be a strong customer advocate in this role.”

Prior to his new appointment, Mr. McDonnell was most recently the Managing Director of Asia/Pacific (APAC), a role he has been entrenched in since 2006 – during this time Mr. McDonnell worked closely with several leading banks, futures commission merchants (FCMs) and APAC exchanges. He originally joined TT in 1998 as part of the firm’s UK sales team.
