Tradition, the interdealer broking affiliate of Compagnie Financière, has made a series of executive hires to its business including John Wilson, Dan Torrey and Rob Mountain.

Tradition and Compagnie Financière represent one of the world's largest interdealer brokers in OTC financial and commodity related products. The management restructure is noteworthy as there are several components of its business that are being bolstered.

First, John Wilson will become Tradition’s newest managing director within the strategy and business development team. He has over two decades of experience and will be instrumental in the group’s hybrid and electronic initiatives. Mr. Wilson joins from Newedge and RBS where he served as the global head of OTC clearing.

Moreover, Dan Torrey was brought in to become the newest addition to Tradition's strategic development team. He previously worked as the head of sales for Americas at EBS.

Finally, Rob Mountain has also been recruited to lead the North American business development division of Trad-X, Tradition's hybrid interest rate Swaps Trading Platform . Mr. Mountain previously worked in a number of senior level positions at BGC Partners and State Street.

According to Mike Leibowitz, COO at Tradition, in a recent statement on the recruitment, "Tradition is delighted to be making these strategic hires. In recent years, we have significantly strengthened our multi-asset e-trading and hybrid offerings. These recent hires show our appetite to continue to invest and play a leading role in a future shaped by regulatory reform, customer demand and macroeconomic factors.”

"Tradition is dedicated to designing and implementing solutions in line with market expectations. Understanding our customers' needs, accompanied by the ability to innovate, has enabled us to succeed to date. We look forward to John, Dan and Rob playing keys roles in enhancing and growing our trading solutions across our entire client base," added Dan Marcus, global head of strategy and business development at Tradition.
