UBS AG has added two new executives to its Equities space, tapping both Chris Leone and Dushyant Chadha as the newest co-heads of equities – Americas, whose twin appointments are effective immediately, according to a Reuters report.
The genesis for the appointments comes on the heels of the void created by the departure of Paul Galietto, who is parting ways with the Swiss lender. In his stead, Mr. Leone and Chadha will serve as the co-heads of equities in UBS’s Americas division.
In addition, both co-heads will be serving on UBS’s global equities executive committee, chairing the Americas equities executive committee. In their new respective roles they will be reporting directly to both Robert Karofsky and Roger Naylor, global co-heads of equities at UBS.
Mr. Leone originally joined UBS seven years ago in 2008, who presently has serving as the bank’s head of equities trading and risk for the Americas. Prior to landing at UBS, Mr. Leone worked at Deutsche Bank as its head of derivatives trading – Americas.
Conversely, Mr. Dushyant joined UBS only back in 2013, having worked as its head of derivatives – Americas, a role he will continue with. Previous stops to UBS include Deutsche Bank and Citibank, where he distinguished himself as the head of equity derivatives – Americas and head of Americas trading risk respectively.
