UBS Wealth Management, a UBS Group AG subsidiary, has hired Andy Jackson as a Client Advisor in its Midlands office located in Birmingham, United Kingdom, according to a Reuters report.
The London Summit 2017 is coming, get involved!
Mr. Jackson will soon assume his role and he will be working side by side with the other Client Advisor Kaleem Mohammed. Mr. Mohammed’s own position covers the firm’s clients in the East Midlands.
Before joining UBS Wealth Management, Mr. Jackson held the position of Private Client Director at Coutts, a banking firm based in London, for nine years. Before this, he served as an investment planning manager at NatWest. Mr. Jackson was further in charge of an office owned by a high net worth family.
Phillip Wood, the Regional Head of the Midlands office, told CityWire magazine that though people seem to think that Midlands-based businesses target only Birmingham, their activities extend all over the region. "Andy’s arrival will enable us to bring our offer to more entrepreneurs, business owners and families, as we continue to focus on opportunities outside of the West Midlands."
Mr. Jackson noted in that interview that the region will receive more attention thanks to the business activities occurring there. "The Midlands engine is placing the region on the map as one of the UK’s prime business destinations, and it is exciting to be involved in this period of growth."
UBS Wealth Management has also hired Toni Ward, Haroon Akbar, and Tace Jones, who will act as assistants at the Birmingham office.
Earlier this year, UBS Group AG signed an agreement to sell American financial services company Northern Trust's administration service units in Switzerland and Luxembourg.
