UniCredit has appointed George Stein as its newest Head of Global Transaction Banking in the UK, whose role is tendered with immediate effect, according to a UniCredit statement.
In his new role as the Head of Global Transaction Banking, Mr. Stein will be tasked with fortifying the group’s UK-based capabilities and operations, specifically across the realms of trade finance and cash management. He will be reporting to Claudio Camozzo and Ernst Ohmayer, UniCredit’s respective co-Heads of Global Transaction Banking.
Mr. Stein joins UniCredit from ACE Software, where he was Director of Business Development and Product Marketing , based in London. Additional stops also include Bank of America (BofA), Deutsche Bank, and Chase Manhattan, among others.
According to Mr. Camozzo in a recent statement on the appointment, “We are very pleased to appoint Mr. Stein to this important role in London, where he will help build the trade finance business and enhance our cash management capabilities in the UK.”
“The expertise Mr. Stein has developed both at leading transaction banking institutions and financial IT service providers, and his experience of working in the UK, German and US markets, will be invaluable as we support the development and growth of our customers across Western, Central and Eastern Europe and beyond,” added Mr. Ohmayer in an accompanying statement.
UniCredit has been largely devoid of many personnel changes this year, with its last major change coming in Q1, Day Ivy relinquished his role at UniCredit to become an FX trader at Ionic Capital Management.
