UniCredit Names Peter Billington, Senior FX Options, Exotics Trader

August typically represents a lull in the forex industry, however given the stagnation of volumes and revenues prevalent amongst brokers and firms from the earlier half of the year, several companies are now actively trying to restructure in an attempt to reverse certain trends.

Mr. Billington joins UniCredit in a familiar role, now heading its FX operations as the Senior Options Trader and Exotics Trading Manager – he will be reporting to Nick Gentle, UniCredit’s Global Head of FX Derivatives, and is based in London.

Mr. Billington has previously worked at Commerzbank as its Global FX Head. Before then, he also held a variety of senior FX roles at Dresdner Kleinwort and BNP Paribas.
