United Fintech has strengthened its team with the latest appointment of Raj Rathor as Head of Sales for EMEA at its portfolio company, Athena Systems. As Finance Magnates reported earlier, United Fintech acquired a 25 percent stake in Athena earlier this year, with a promise of acquiring the rest over the next three years.
Announced on Tuesday, Rathor brings a decade of experience to the role. His expertise in Order & Execution Management Systems will be beneficial to the new role.
“I wanted to join United Fintech because of the fresh nature of its approach to solving complex problems around operating models within the investment management community,” Rathor said in a statement. “Athena can really push the status quo within the space in being a cloud-native, open-ended, true full front-to-back solution for buy-side firms.”
Solid Experience
Rathor started the new role having left Enfusion where he was the Head of Sales for the last couple of years. His experience also includes product management roles and pre-sales engineering roles at the buy-side vendor, SimCorp for a total of five and a half years.
He started his career at ICAP, working as an over-the-counter broker and covering bonds and swaps .
Commenting on the appointment, United Fintech’s Partner and Head of Sales, Tom Robinson, said: “United Fintech’s mission in transforming the way that financial institutions can accelerate access to fintechs is enabling us to attract the very best sales people from within the industry. We are delighted to welcome Raj to our experienced sales team as we continue to gain traction with our ambitious plans.”
Meanwhile, United Fintech has been strengthening its team with aggressive hiring, especially in sales. Earlier this month, it onboarded Chris Codo as a Senior Relationship Manager. In addition, it added George Govier and Jeremey Gzaiel to the sales team recently.
Earlier this year, the company established a new office in Madrid, appointing Erik Nordahl as its head.
