Wes Hummel Joins MX as Chief Technology Officer

Yesterday, MX, one of the leading open finance firms, announced that the company has appointed Wes Hummel, the former Vice President, Site Reliability and Cloud Engineering at PayPal, as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

In his broad career of more than 25 years, Hummel led a wide range of international engineering and technology teams. He spent over 14 years at PayPal and served in different positions to facilitate the company’s global expansion. Hummel started his career at PayPal as Software Development Manager and later served in different senior-level roles.

Prior to joining PayPal, Hummel spent approximately eight years at Clarity Communications Systems as a Software Engineer. The newly appointed CTO at MX also worked with Motorola as a Software Engineer for over five years.

Magats recently became the CEO of MX. On top of that, he has joined the company’s Board of Directors.

MX aims to utilize Hummel’s deep expertise in the engineering and technology sector to develop innovative products and services. Moreover, the company’s new CTO served as a Board Member of the Arizona Technology Council for over two years.
