Muinmos Appoints Jens Woeste and Michael Thirer as Directors

Muinmos, a Danish regulatory technology firm has appointed Jens Woeste, an executive with over 20 years, as its new Commercial Director. Woeste, the Founder of the software company, Curo Investing, takes over the position from Michael Thirer who has been appointed as the company’s first Legal, Governance and Regulatory Affairs Director.

“[Woeste’s] appointment is fueled by increasing demand for Muinmos’ complete, automated client onboarding solution which has resulted in an organizational restructure,” the RegTech firm said in a statement shared with Finance Magnates.

The new appointments come about one month after Muinmos hired IG’s Agnieszka Noworól as the Customer Success Director.

CEO Comments

On Woeste’s selection, Remonda Kirketerp-Møller, Muinmos’ Founder and CEO noted that the executive understands the pain points the RegTech company is trying to address. She added that Woeste in his role “will work closely with clients to ensure they are fully utilizing our platform to streamline and enhance their onboarding and compliance processes.”

“He [Woestle] brings exceptional technical and commercial experience to the team and has a proven track record in sales, product management, and building strong relationships with clients. On top of that, he has a strong network of institutional clients which he can leverage to help us achieve our growth plans,” Kirketerp-Møller explained.

On Thirer’s move into a newly-created role, she noted that the former Commercial Director is leveraging his expertise and industry experience to lead the firm’s legal, governance and regulatory affairs function to cater to its global expansion and global client base.

Speaking about his appointment, Woeste expressed his excitement at joining the firm to help it address banks' and financial institutions’ struggle with meeting regulatory requirements.

Additionally, speaking on his new role, Thirer pledged to focus on developing Muinmos’ internal governance processes as well as legal and regulatory affairs functions in preparation for the regtech’s next growth stage. “As we continue to grow, we put more emphasis on processes and procedures which will enable our next stage of evolution,” Thirer said.

Industry Experience

Apart from Curo Investing, Jens Woeste worked as an Independent Consultant at Praeception for almost three years. Moreover, he was a Principal Market Specialist at Calypso Technology for seven and a half years.

On the other hand, Thirer was previously a Senior Associate at Israel-based Shavit Bar-On Gal-On Tzin Yagur Law Offices for over six years. Also, he worked for other Israeli law firms including at Eliad Shraga & Co. Law Offices, one of Israel's leading law firms in commercial, civil and public law.

Meanwhile, at the start of the year, the Cyprus-based broker, Sheer Markets partnered with Muinmos in order to be integrated with the regtech’s fast onboarding and regulatory compliance tools.
