New GM Lands at IC Markets after 17 Years in G10 FX Trading

Ben Singleton has prior experience at Bank of America and Commonwealth Bank in FX trading.

He has a Bachelor of Business in Finance and Economics from the University of Technology Sydney.

Ben Singleton has announced on LinkedIn today (Thursday) that he is starting a new position as General Manager at IC Markets. This marks a new chapter in his career.

Singleton's previous role was at Crédit Agricole CIB, where he worked for 17 years and 3 months. He was based in Hong Kong and held the position of Executive Director.

In this role, he was responsible for the performance of the G10 FX Trading, including spot, swaps , precious metals, and e-FX/Algo trading businesses in Asia. His duties also included market making and trade execution.

New GM, Experienced Trader

Before his tenure at Crédit Agricole CIB, Singleton worked at Bank of America for 1 year and 3 months. His role there was Vice President and Senior FX Trader, focusing on market making and trade execution.

Singleton's career began at Commonwealth Bank, where he worked as a Foreign Exchange Trader for 4 years and 1 month in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

He holds a Bachelor of Business in Finance and Economics from the University of Technology Sydney, which he completed between 1998 and 2000.

Earlier, IC Markets received a regulatory license in Kenya, as reported by Finance Magnates. The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) licensed IC Markets Kenya Limited to operate as a non-dealing online foreign exchange broker. This new license allows IC Markets to operate similarly to other international retail brokers in Kenya.

The CMA recently issued licenses to five new firms in various capacities within Kenya's capital markets. Additionally, IC Markets, based in Australia, introduced prop trading services in March, expanding beyond its FX and CFDs offerings.

IC Markets Integrates TipRanks

Meanwhile, IC Markets has integrated TipRanks' analytical tools into its platform. Clients can now access enhanced research features, including insights on stocks, ETFs, and mutual funds.

New tools include the News Sentiment tool, which tracks media attitudes towards assets, and the Hedge Funds Activity tool, which monitors changes in large investment institutions' portfolios.
