oneZero Financial Systems, a multi-asset enterprise trading technology developer, has hired Stephen Totten, the Global Head of eFX at UniCredit, as its Director of Quantitative Analysis.

Stephen Totten Joins oneZero in Senior Role

Totten announced his new appointment on Tuesday on LinkedIn. The executive left his old role at UniCredit after 11 years of serving at the pan-European bank.

In a statement released on Wednesday, oneZero said it charged Totten with advancing its "heavy investments in analytics, focusing on solutions for institutional brokers, regional banks, asset managers, PTF’s and their EcoSystem Liquidity Partners."

Totten boasts of about 20 years of financial industry experience. Previously, he worked as the Portfolio Manager at Citadel Investment Group for over six years. He served the Florida-based investment firm between 2005 and 2010.

Furthermore, Totten worked for Morgan Stanely in a forex-based role between 2001 and 2005. The executive holds a Master of Science in Finance from Birbeck, University of London.

“I am excited to be joining a company that’s pushing the boundaries in FX technology," Totten said in the statement, adding that he looks forward "to working on building the next generation of analytics and automated optimization tools for our clients and liquidity providers to further enhance their pricing and risk management.”

oneZero's Top Hires in 2022

Last year, oneZero made a number of top appointments at various times of the year. In July, the trading technology developer hired Yulia Tereshchenko from PLUGIT to take up the position of Customer Success Manager at its establishment.

Earlier in March, the Boston-based firm promoted Nikolas Aresti to Operation Lead in the Retail Segment. Aresti was previously the company’s Senior Operations Engineer in London.

Furthermore, oneZero started 2022 by expanding its team by recruiting Indu Maheshwari as Product Manager and Kevin Verardi as Product Designer. At the time, the firm tasked Maheshwari with developing its extensive over-the-counter liquidity ecosystem. In addition, it charged Verardi with building the company’s credit offerings and trading user interface.

Meanwhile, a number of companies last year announced their integrations with oneZero’s trading technology. These include brands such as Nexo Prime and Binance.

In addition, oneZero recently onboarded Cboe FX and State Street into its EcoSystem. The oneZero EcoSystem is a vast network of brokers, banks and liquidity providers who partner for liquidity distribution and to gain access to unique flows, with direct market access to exchanges and clearing providers.
