Exec Reshuffles
In May last year, Guru Capital, a Swiss private equity firm, acquired Oval Money and integrated its portfolio firm ETX Capital into its operations. ETX Capital was later rebranded to OvalX, still operating as an online CFD and spread betting platform.
In the past month, both brands have seen the entry and departure of executives. In September, Oval Money appointed Luca Merolla as its new Chief Executive Officer. Merolla has been a part of the company since October 2020 as a Non-Executive Director.
In August, OvalX tapped Lawrence Jones, the former Head of Digital Marketing at Pepperstone, as its new Head of Digital Acquisition. On the contrary, Andrew Saks, an industry veteran, departed OvalX in July and would later join The People’s SCE as the Head of Marketing.
