Ian Daniels, a well-known sales expert in the financial services industry, has joined BGC Partners recently as the Global Head of Fenics NDF, according to a Linkedin update.
“I’m delighted to share that I’m starting a new role as Global Head of Fenics NDF at BGC Partners,” he wrote in a post on the professional social media network.
“I’m looking forward to strengthening existing relationships and building many new ones.”
BGC Partners is a Nasdaq-listed company (Nasdaq: BGCP) that provides a wide range of services, including trade execution , broker-dealer services, clearing , processing, information and other back office services.
Earlier this year, BGC onboarded Jason W. Hauf, an industry veteran with more than three decades of experience, as the Chief Financial Officer.
A Sales Expert
Daniels joined BGC from Nomura, where he worked for four years. He joined the previous company in September 2018 as an Executive Director and the Head of eFX Distribution for the EMEA region.
“After nearly 4 years at Nomura, it’s time for me to embark on a new adventure. Nomura is full of great people, and I certainly learned a lot in my time,” Daniels wrote.
Prior to that, he spent more than a decade at the Royal Bank of Scotland, where he joined the FX Electronic Markets Sales (EMEA) team and parted as the Director and the Head of eFX Sales (EMEA).
With his industry experience, he described himself as a “strong sales professional” and is skilled in building client relationships within the aspects of eFX and algos, as well as Agency Clearing. In addition, he participated in a panel discussion around market liquidity in FMLS 2019.
