Saxo UK Onboards Simon Camilleri as New COO

Saxo UK Limited announced the appointment of Simon Camilleri as the company’s Chief Operating Officer. Based in London, he will report directly to Charles White-Thomson, the CEO of Saxo UK.

Officially announced on Friday, the appointment occurred as Saxo UK is expanding its offerings. Further, the subsidiary onboarded Joanna Moberly as the Head of Legal and Company Secretary earlier this year. Other critical appointments of Saxo UK include the addition of Nicholas Wilcock and Michael Ridley to the Board as Non-Executive Directors. Last year, Saxo UK hired Simon O’Malley as the Chief Financial Officer.

Finalto Promotes Andrew Biggs to Group Head of Risk and Trading

Finalto has promoted Andrew Biggs from the position of Head of Liquidity and Systematic Market Making to the role of Group Head of Risk Trading.

Biggs announced the update on his LinkedIn profile on Thursday. However, his profile shows he took on the new role earlier in August. Biggs has been the Head of Liquidity at CFH Clearing Limited since May 2018, which is a position he maintained even after Finalto acquired and renamed CFH Clearing.

Admirals’ Veronica Imasheva Joins Cerus Markets as Marketing Director

Cerus Markets has hired Veronica Imasheva, as its Marketing Director. Imasheva was the Global Marketing Manager of Admirals until last month when she departed after two years. The executive announced her new role on Tuesday on LinkedIn.

Imasheva is bringing about six years of sales and marketing experience to the role.

ThinkMarkets CFO Harshad Kale Departs after 9 Years

Harshad Kale has parted from ThinkMarkets, as its long-running Chief Financial Officer. After spending almost nine years at the company, he parted from the brokerage firm.

Recently, he joined Cavendish Renewable Technology as the CFO, according to his Linkedin profile.

Over the years, he has worked in the finance department of a diverse set of companies, including the broker.

Doto Appoints FXOpen’s Maria Markidou as Executive Director

Doto has appointed Maria Markidou as its Executive Director. The company announced Markidou’s appointment in a statement shared with Finance Magnates on Monday. However, Markidou’s Linkedin profile shows she resumed the Cyprus-based role earlier in September 2022.

Previously, Markidou was the Regional Director at FXOpen EU Limited, which was previously AMB Prime before its acquisition by the retail and institutional forex broker, FXOpen.

Terry Hollingsworth Joins Marex as Global Futures Clearing Sales Head

Marex Group has enhanced its leadership by appointing Terry Hollingsworth as the Global Head of Futures Clearing Sales. In the role based in London, he will be responsible for business generations globally.

The appointment came as a part of Marex’s acquisition of the financial services unit of ED&F Man Group. The two companies initially agreed on the deal in August for a reported price of $220 million.

StoneX Retail Promotes Adam Dance to Product Director

StoneX Retail promoted Adam Dance to Product Director. Based in London, earlier he was the company's Head of Product after joining in January 2022.

StoneX Retail manages some of the major retail forex and CFDs brokerage brands like FOREX.com and City Index. StoneX completed the $236 million GAIN Capital acquisition deal in mid-2020, giving it the ownership of two brokerage brands.

Dance has around 16 years of industry experience working in several product-centric roles.

Tibor Gergely Joins Commerzbank as eFX Liquidity Provision Director

Commerzbank has strengthened its electronic foreign exchange team by appointing Tibor Gergely as the Director of eFX Liquidity Provision. According to his Linkedin profile, Gergely joined the London office of the German bank in October.

Headquartered in Frankfurt, Commerzbank is the second-largest bank in Germany in regard to assets. The bank has around 28,000 corporate client groups and almost 11 million private and small-business customers in the country. Additionally, it has a retail presence in neighbouring countries like Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
