Scope Markets, the forex and CFDs broker acquired by Rostro Financial Group, has hired Yaser Zidan, the former Vice President of Sales at Equiti’s Jordan Office, as its Sales Manager for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). This comes three months after Finance Magnates reported that the broker was evaluating opportunities for further expansion into MENA and the wider Asian regions.

Equiti VP of Sales Joins Scope Markets

Zidan announced his new appointment at Scope Markets on Tuesday in an update to his profile on LinkedIn. The executive left for Scope Markets after about seven years at Equiti which he joined in August 2016 as a Senior Account Manager. Zidan doubled as the Vice President of Sales at Equiti in Jordan starting May 2018 until his departure.

Meanwhile, Scope Markets in recent months has hired other executives. The broker onboarded John Murphy as its new Chief Revenue Officer and Pavel Spirin as the Chief Executive Officer. The executives were elevated from their positions of Group Head of Retail Operations and Chief Growth Officer, respectively.

Scope Markets Expansion under Rostro

Rostro completed the acquisition of Scope Markets in January 2023 after finalizing the deal earlier in February 2022. With the completion, Rostro took over control of Scope Markets’ main operation hub in Cyprus and other entities in Kenya, South Africa and Belize. The Group also took charge of the broker’s operations in Mauritius and Seychelles.

Furthermore, Roger Hambury explained in an earlier statement that the Group over the past year has completed several acquisitions to drive its expansion. Hambury added that the Group was considering opportunities to penetrate the MENA and Asian markets.
