One Zero Digital Bank, an Israeli private digital bank, has expanded the capability of its signature app beyond banking services and now includes securities trading. Additionally, the bank tapped ViewTrade, a technology and brokerage services provider, to power the new function.

ViewTrade, in a statement noted that its partnership with One Zero, will enable it to provide application programming interface and Financial Information Exchange (FIX) connection support to the digital bank. Through the new securities trading platform, Israeli investors will be able to access US markets at competitive prices.

“One Zero customers can now trade in a wide variety of equities and exchange-traded funds listed on the New York Stock Exchange and NASDAQ, using either foreign currency or shekel accounts,” ViewTrade explained in the statement.

A Single Provider

Through the new platform from One Zero, customers can now consolidate all their financial activity through a single provider, ViewTrade noted, adding that the private bank will also offer its customers insights and updates about their investment portfolios through the use of artificial intelligence.

“Traders can execute individual trades or subscribe to a monthly package with no maintenance or trading fees and no minimum commissions, regardless of the order amount,” the technology provider explained.

Speaking on the new platform, Gal Bar Dea, the CEO of One Zero Digital Bank, noted in the statement that the firm was excited about improving the retail investing experience through its partnership with ViewTrade. For his part, Moran Zur, ViewTrade's Regional Manager for Europe and Israel, noted that the firm looks forward to continued partnership with One Zero.

Israel's First Digital Bank

One Zero Digital Bank is Israel’s first digital bank. The company started operating last year after raising sufficient capital and passing requisite regulatory checks. The bank, which is the first independent bank established in Israel in over 40 years, first obtained a restricted license in December 2019.

On the other hand, ViewTrade is a long-time provider of brokerage technology and services with over 20 years of experience. The firm helps a variety of clients, from large banks to brokers and advisors to create “differentiating investment experiences their customers demand.”
