Playtech plc (LON:PTEC), which provides technology for online gaming and sports betting, announced on Wednesday its partnership with Holland Casino, a major land-based casino operator in the Netherlands. Holland Casino operates 14 casinos across the country and now has expansion plans to venture into the online betting and gaming space. The operator already has set a timeline of October 2021 to launch its online gambling market. Under the agreement between the two, Playtech has become the casino operator’s strategic technology supplier. It will deliver full turnkey multi-channel technology and certain ancillary services to Holland. “We are delighted to announce this strategic cooperation with Holland Casino,” Playtech CEO, Mor Weizer said on the partnership deal. “The brand strength and local presence of Holland Casino combined with Playtech's 20 years of technology leadership in the industry will see us drive the online growth of the market in Holland.”

A Long-Term Tech Partner

Additionally, the announcement detailed that the agreement will cover several products like IMS platform, sports betting, online casino, live casino, pokies, poker and bingo, along with certain operational and Marketing services. Moreover, Playtech will build a live casino facility for its new partner. “This agreement demonstrates the Execution of our strategy to continue to work with the leading brands in the most attractive regulated markets globally,” Weizer added. The partnership has strengthened Playtech’s presence in Europe when the company is already involved in an international expansion in the Americas. Furthermore, it is in the middle of the sale of one of its top divisions, Finalto, which was previously known as TradeTech. “This agreement will provide the technology and expertise required to ensure we will deliver the leading online offering in the Netherlands,” said Erwin van Lambaart, CEO at Holland Casino. “We look forward to the online market launching in the Netherlands in October 2021 and to a long and successful cooperation with Playtech as we work together to capture this exciting opportunity.”
