ACI opens HQ in Brazil to meet local demand

US-based industry leading payment systems firm, ACI Worldwide, has opened new offices in Sao Paolo, Brazil.

The new offices in Latin America originated from the increasing Ecommerce demand in the region, most notably Brazil.

ACI Worldwide, in addition to opening the new headquarters has expanded its managerial team. The additions to ACI’s managerial team include, Vice President and General Manager for Latin America, Andreas Suma, Vice President and General Manager for US Banks, Jonathan Lerner, and Vice President of Americas Operations and Planning, Cliff Elam.

The news of the new Latin American headquarters comes shortly after local investments in Uruguay-based POS and ATM software developer North Data, and Colombia-based electronic transaction firm PTESA. ACI already provides services to many of Brazil’s leading banks and retailers.

"With an established management team and five major office locations across Latin and South America, we believe we understand the needs of this lucrative market better than any other vendor," Jeremy Wilmot, senior vice president and managing director of Americas for ACI Worldwide, added on the new Latin American extension.

Brazil is one of the fastest growing Ecommerce markets in Latin America. Brazil’s rapid growth stems from more internet connected computers becoming available. Over 100 million Brazilians are expected to be connected to the internet by the end of the year.
