Digital gift card platform Gyft has formed a partnership with First Data to offer solutions for small to medium sized businesses called Gyft Cloud .
Gyft Cloud offers a simple and easy to integrate mobile gift card solution for mPOS stations. The new service is made possible by integrating Gyft’s services through Clover, a First Data company that offers an innovative all-in-one POS payment and business solution for SMBs.
In addition to offering mobile gift card options, Gyft Cloud also lets merchants issue store credit rather than cash returns to help insure return customers. The service also assists in increasing customer loyalty, giving customers the ability to recharge a gift card after depletion.
"Offering plastic gift cards can be cost prohibitive and an operational nightmare for small to mid-sized business owners – so much so that an estimated 90% of them do not offer gift cards. So even though many owners want to sell gift cards, they just don't have the budget or capabilities to enable them. With Gyft Cloud, SMBs can now easily implement and immediately start selling digital gift cards to increase their business and customer loyalty," said Vinny Lingham, co-founder and CEO of Gyft.
Gyft Cloud will be available in the Clover AppMarket this coming May. Businesses will be able to start issuing gift cards immediately after integrating the Gyft Cloud service.
"Clover is proud to offer Gyft Cloud in the Clover App Market. We built Clover because we, as developers, we were frustrated with how closed point-of-sale systems were, so we're thrilled with Gyft's deep integration with the Clover APIs and the opportunity it offers to our rapidly growing merchant base. We think merchants will love it," said Leonard Speiser, co-founder of Clover.
