Magento adds Yapital as payment option for European merchants

Ecommerce platform provider and eBay subsidiary, Magento, will now offer to their merchant base of over 150,000 the ability to add Yapital to their supported payment options in the form of a plug-in.

Yapital is Europe’s first cashless cross-channel payment option, and provides payment solutions for online merchants, mobile stores, POS, and invoicing. The addition of the plug-in will help enlarge Yapital’s distribution throughout Europe, with Magento’s large amount of online merchants, as well as physical storefronts.

“Yapital is the straightforward payment solution for all occasions. We are very pleased that we are now able to allow many more retailers to offer Yapital as a means of payment to their customers - and integration really couldn't be easier than with a free plug-in on the Magento Community Platform," Nils Winkler, Chairman of the Board of Yapital, added in a press release on the new addition to Magento’s Connect Marketplace.

Integrating Yapital's payment solution is simple, and with just a few clicks, Magento merchants will be able to add the payment option and to process online and mobile purchases, as well as NFC and QR-based transactions from brick and mortar establishments.

The Yapital plug-in is available in English and German, with more languages to be added soon.
